Pottery Lessons

Our pottery lessons are open to everyone, whether you are a complete beginner or already have some experience with clay.

These are relaxed, practical sessions where you can develop your skills at your own pace, with guidance and support from our tutors. You might choose to learn wheel throwing, handbuilding, or a mix of both, depending on your interests and experience.

If you are new to pottery, we will help you get started with the basics, including preparing clay, making simple forms, and understanding studio processes. If you already have experience, these sessions offer a chance to build confidence, refine technique, and develop your own projects with support on hand when needed.

Please allow time at the end of your session to tidy your workspace and equipment, leaving the space ready for the next person.

House stoneware clay, decorating slips and studio glazes are included in the session price. Firing is charged separately at £4 per litre, which covers both bisque and glaze firings, and is measured by the space your piece occupies in the kiln.
